• This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office a week in the following locations:
  Plano, TX;
  Boston, MA;
  Portsmouth, NH;
  Indianapolis, IN; or Columbus, OH.

• Technical problem solver — beyond developing error‑free source code, you’ll document and build deployment guides to maintain robust, relevant software.
• Customer‑centric engineer — you’ll translate customer requirements into technical applications and support the implementation of new software.

• Work in an agile environment to develop creative solutions for our claims product.
• Accelerate speed to market by addressing current product needs and developing long‑term strategic solutions using technologies such as React, Type Script, JavaScript, Node.js, Java and other potential backend languages.
• Utilize cloud services and tools, including AWS, Cloud Foundry, and CDN providers.
• Demonstrate proficiency in multiple object‑oriented and functional programming languages.
• Build and implement RESTful services.
• Employ an open‑minded and collaborative approach to create innovative technical solutions.
• Analyze technical system problems to design and implement effective, flexible solutions.
• Handle end‑to‑end development, including coding, testing, and debugging in each development cycle.
• Develop automated tests across multiple scopes, including unit, system, integration, and regression testing.
• Mentor new and junior developers.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Minimum of five years of software engineering experience.
• Background in business operations and strategies, with a focus on business IT.
• History of translating client requirements into technical designs.
• Agile engineering capabilities and a design‑thinking mindset.
• Collaboration, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to manage time and prioritize work with a globally distributed development team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including explaining decisions to non‑engineers.
• Thorough grasp of IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture, technical standards, shared software concepts and layered solutions.
