Backend Engineer

Our client is building a premium, US-issued credit card for borderless people. They are currently in private beta and growing their team with talented engineers who want to shape the future of financial technology.

Our client is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong fundamentals in Type Script, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
. This role is focused on building and maintaining secure, scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in English, and has experience working with APIs—preferably in financial services, payments, or security-related domains.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Type Script + Node.js
  .
• Design and optimize data models in PostgreSQL
  .
• Build and integrate APIs with a strong focus on security and reliability
  .
• Collaborate with the team to ensure best practices in code quality and architecture.
• Contribute to technical discussions in clear and professional English.
• Support integrations with financial institutions and banking partners.

• Proficiency in Type Script, Node.js, PostgreSQL
  .
• Strong understanding of backend development best practices.
• Good written and spoken English
  .
• Experience with APIs, preferably in fintech, banking, or security.
• Ability to work independently and deliver on time in a
  * remote contractor setup*.

• Familiarity with financial services, card issuing, or payment systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Understanding of regulatory/security considerations in fintech.
