Our customer is seeking a versatile midlevel software developer (5+years of professional experience) to join their defense-focused engineering team. The role emphasizes modern software design, API development, Dev Sec Ops  practices, and real-time/combat system projects. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance and be comfortable working in a hybrid remote environment.

• Build and enhance frontend user interfaces using React (including hooks, functional components, state management libraries).
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services.
• Implement responsive UI components and follow UI/UX best practices, integrating with design systems.
• Apply modern design patterns and UI frameworks such as React.
• Develop, test, and deploy code in a Linux/WSL environment.
• Experience with containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Write automated UI tests.
• Collaborate in Agile environment, participate in code reviews.

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development.

  Languages:
  
  Proficiency in C++, Java.
• Front End UI Development:
  Hands-on experience building UI components with React.
• API Development:
  Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs.

• Working knowledge of Agile, CI/CD (Git Lab CI, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), Docker, Kubernetes.

• Experience with automated testing tools.

• Comfortable using VSCode, Eclipse, or Net Beans.

• Proficient in developing, building, and debugging applications within Linux/WSL.

• Practical experience with AWS services.

Active Secret clearance.

Hybrid remote work based in College Park, MD.

• Experience with Cosmos or similar mission-planning/analysis tools.
• Experience with real-time or combat systems and associated performance constraints.
• Cybersecurity.
