Senior Software Engineer; Product

Responsibilities

• Product engineers at Pave build the core workflows and experiences that power how companies plan, execute, and communicate all aspects of compensation
• You will be leading projects and building features that are at the forefront of compensation intelligence
• You’ll work closely with Product and Design to ship features used daily by compensation teams, managers, and employees at companies like OpenAI, Databricks, and Atlassian
• This team moves fast, iterates based on direct customer feedback, and owns their work end-to-end

• Technical leadership: you influence design decisions across the team, mentor other engineers, and bring people along through clear reasoning
• Strong product intuition: you translate customer needs and feedback into sound technical decisions, and know when to move fast versus invest in robust architecture
• Proven ability to break ambiguous, complex problems into concrete milestones and drive them to completion with minimal oversight
• 5+ years of full‑stack, backend, or frontend engineering experience, ideally with modern web technologies such as Type Script and Node.js, including experience building data‑intensive applications
• Execution‑driven mindset: you thrive in fast‑paced environments and ship thoughtful solutions without over engineering
