Service Now Test Engineer
ICF is seeking a Service Now Test Engineer to support enterprise Service Now delivery efforts with primary focus on a federal program. This role is responsible for helping ensure platform enhancements, workflow updates, and custom applications are thoroughly tested, defect-free, and ready for release in a secure federal environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Service Now testing activities, including automated and manual test execution, defect tracking, and user acceptance support. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to validate requirements, verify functionality, and confirm that Service Now solutions perform as expected across workflows, integrations, and downstream dependencies.
Job Location:
Remote work is authorized. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours. Preference to candidates who live in the Washington DC metro area.

What You Will Do
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for Service Now solutions
- Design, maintain, and run automated test suites using the Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Perform manual testing of workflows, forms, role behavior, reporting, and platform configurations
- Validate enhancements, bug fixes, and release changes across development, test, and production environments
- Track defects, support triage, and verify fixes through resolution using Service Now Agile Development, Jira or similar tools
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to confirm acceptance criteria and expected outcomes
- Support testing of workflow updates, access controls, reporting changes, data-related updates, and integrations
- Document test plans, test cases, results, and lessons learned in Confluence or similar documentation tools
- Support release readiness, test evidence collection, and UAT coordination
- Verify configurations and updates align with security and compliance expectations
What You Must Have
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance as required by federal contract
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineer, Information Technology or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or test engineering
- 3+ years of experience testing Service Now applications or comparable enterprise workflow platforms
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile delivery environments with user stories and sprint ceremonies
What We Would Like You To Have
- Hands-on experience with the Service Now testing activities, including Automated Test Framework (ATF) or comparable automated testing tools
- Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Experience using Service Now Agile Development or Jira for defect tracking and Confluence for documentation
- Ability to write clear test cases, test steps, and defect reports with strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of federal delivery security and compliance-sensitive delivery environments
- Experience supporting Service Now enhancements, releases, or workflow changes in a federal environment
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, security validation, or compliance-focused testing practices
- Experience validating workflow dependencies, data updates, and role-based access behavior
- Exposure to release management, smoke testing, and test evidence collection
- Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and collaboration with analysts and developers
