Lead Engineer – Target

Salary: $20‑30 per hour

• Develop and launch new application security solutions from concept to production, collaborating with designers and security architects.
• Co‑operate with incident response teams to refine our incident‑handling procedures.
• Enhance detection and authentication tools that protect infrastructure and applications.
• Provide technical leadership, ensuring continuous improvement of monitoring, logging, and policy enforcement capabilities.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with at least one full‑cycle production release.
• Hands‑on experience writing production‑grade code in at least two of the following languages:
  Python, Go, Type Script.
• Experience or strong interest in online/identity security, including background in authentication and vulnerability mitigation.
• Proven communication skills – able to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical ability and proficiency in performance tuning, scalability, and reliability.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and architecture design principles.
• Active engagement in security and technology communities to stay current with emerging trends.

• 4‑year degree in a related field.
• Experience with CI/CD and workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI).
• Hands‑on experience with stream‑processing, data ingestion, and data pipeline optimization.
• Full‑stack or framework‑level programming expertise.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and container orchestration services.

• Hybrid – location‑centered work: a mix of onsite and remote work, requiring periodic presence at the Saint Paul office.
• Remote – full‑time remote work, with a maximum of four HQ visits annually.
