Job Summary

In this Cloud Designer job, you will be essential for a gifted group liable for building versatile, secure, and profoundly accessible Cloud based administrations inside our Mixture based platform-as-a-service (PaaS) environment, while also gaining experience and exposure to numerous other open source tools as required. Salary: $20 – $30/Hour.

Sunrise, FL. Remote work is supported.

• Foster specialized solutions to upgrade the American Express Nexus Cloud platform, focusing on building automation for highly scalable cloud services.
• Collaborate with API design, UI design, quality design teams, and product owners to deliver self‑service high‑performance API and system solutions.
• Research and apply cutting‑edge technologies and libraries that empower lean product development.
• Implement API and middleware solutions that integrate with NSQL, stages, and companion frameworks.
• Secure APIs using mandatory security controls such as Okta, SSO, mTLS, Hashi Corp Vault, and others.
• Adopt best coding practices that produce deployable code, including self‑service design principles, consistent code style, integration, unit testing, and code review.
• Show enthusiasm for learning new advances and invest fully in how fast they grow to production.
• As part of a distributed tech group, design, code, and ship software that becomes a core part of customers' digital lives.

• Aide must hold an ideal four‑year degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with any cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Confidential Cloud).
• 6+ years of experience developing REST APIs using GoLang or Java.
• 6+ years of experience in cloud design, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker, or similar environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of REST as a service and client.
• Hands‑on experience with NSQL databases such as Couchbase and ETCD.
• Strong knowledge of security controls – Okta, mTLS, SSO, Hashi Corp Vault, etc.
• Solid grasp of API gateways and their capabilities.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Open Shift.
• Profound knowledge of the CI/CD pipeline and related tools such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, Spinnaker, XL Deploy, and others.
• Track record of building middleware solutions focused on code quality, unit testing, integration testing, static analysis tools, and API (Swagger) documentation.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and general QE processes.
