About the role
Gartner is looking for a well‑rounded software engineer to join the Peer Insights Team. You will be part of a highly motivated agile team driven by innovation and collaboration. As part of the Peer Insights and Product Technology team, you will work on high‑performance web development environments using cutting‑edge web technologies. You will work in a multi‑cloud environment and use containerized pipelines for applications.
Responsibilities- Develop high quality, simple, secure, innovative and scalable technical solutions.
- Assume ownership and take responsibility for successful delivery.
- Work comfortably in a fast‑paced Agile/SCRUM environment.
- Focus on software quality and follow good software engineering practices.
- Actively participate and constantly explore opportunities for improvements.
- Translate designs and style guides provided by the Design team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross‑browser compatibility and performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3‑4 years of professional experience developing customer‑facing web applications.
- Experience in building and deploying complex, scalable web applications and services, demonstrated as a Full Stack Developer with proficiency in Java, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring JPA), React, Next.js, and Typescript.
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented design principles, software architecture, and best practices.
- Backend experience in building APIs and working with databases is required.
- Experience with responsive design and building applications across multiple platforms.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and application security fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Elastic Search, Valkey, or other caching/indexing technologies is a plus.
- Experience designing full‑stack interfaces.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
- Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast‑paced Agile/SCRUM environment.
