BI Engineer

Become a part of our caring community The Hospital Transparency Business Intelligence Engineer 2 solves complex business issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision‑makers. You will report to an Associate Director Business Intelligence.

The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 will support the analysis of Hospital Transparency files, extract available data from hospital websites, transform and prepare that data for analysis, compare results across hospitals, and summarize key findings for business partners. You will develop repeatable data processes that contribute to PowerBI dashboards and reports, which the team will use to review trends, outliers, and insights related to hospital pricing transparency.

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3 or more years of data analytics experience
• 2 or more years of experience in SQL, Python, or similar
• Proficiency using data visualization tools such as PowerBI
• Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis

• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Experience with data mining and automation modeling techniques
• Drive business outcomes and decisions

• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings may be required.

$66,800 – $91,100 per year. The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full‑time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting and may vary by location and experience. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
