Software Engineer II

Software Engineer II (Backend):
Design, develop, and maintain backend software tools for street-level imagery data collection and vision-based validation of map products with an accent on C++ programming, backend systems, and Dev Ops practices. Focus on building cloud-based solutions, version control workflows, and collaborating within a global maps team.

Location:

Lodz, Poland with hybrid work format requiring office presence two days a week

• Design, develop, and maintain software tools for street-level imagery data collection and map validation
• Work with backend systems using C++ and cloud technologies, particularly Azure
• Implement and maintain Dev Ops practices and version control workflows (GIT, Git Hub)
• Collaborate effectively within a global maps team to innovate mapmaking processes
• Continuously learn and expand skills across a wide range of technologies

• Location:
  Must be based in or able to work from Lodz, Poland
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar software engineering role
• Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
• Experience with version control systems such as GIT and Git Hub
• Experience with cloud technologies, especially Azure
• Fluent English, both spoken and written

• Basic web development knowledge
• Familiarity with Python, Java, Kotlin, or Swift programming languages
