Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer - Build of Embedded Insurance

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Embedded Insurance):
Build and evolve scalable, reliable, and secure fullstack services and APIs for an embedded insurance platform used by leading global brands with an accent on clean architecture, performance, and international scale. Focus on designing microservices, optimizing API performance, and integrating AI thoughtfully to enhance product capabilities.

Location: Hybrid role based in Brussels with flexible remote arrangements across Europe and up to one month per year working globally.

Qover powers embedded insurance experiences across 32 countries, supporting millions of end users through partnerships with brands like Revolut, Mastercard, BMW, and Monzo.

• Take ownership of complex features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Design and evolve scalable Node.js services and React applications with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Build secure authentication and authorization flows ensuring data protection and compliance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform scalability in a microservices environment.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve productivity and explore AI product enhancements.
• Mentor team members and promote a strong engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

• Must have 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong architectural thinking and experience with microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Node.js, React, MongoDB, and cloud environments (preferably GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to deliver high-quality, secure, maintainable code.
• Location:
  Must be based in Europe or able to work hybrid from Brussels with flexible remote options.
