Position Summary:

The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering core cloud-native services for an AWS-based platform. This role develops complex application features, promotes engineering best practices, mentors junior developers, and contributes to technical design decisions across the software development lifecycle. Working closely with architects, business analysts, product owners, and Agile delivery teams, the Senior Developer builds secure, scalable, and maintainable software while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement complex cloud-native application features and services on AWS.
  • Build high-quality, secure, and maintainable software using modern software engineering practices.
  • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions, providing input on implementation strategies and technical solutions.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, security, and adherence to development standards.
  • Mentor and support software developers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and support continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Amazon Q Developer and similar technologies, throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve application, performance, and production issues.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to refine user stories and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support secure coding practices and contribute to overall application reliability and operational excellence.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation related to software components, development standards, and implementation approaches.
Minimum Experience:
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Experience with modern programming languages, application frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience developing secure, well-tested, and maintainable software.
