About the Position

As a Staff Software Engineer at Vetcove, you’ll do some of the most important work of your career. You’ll take ownership of major product areas—designing, building, and improving the tools that help veterinary clinics streamline operations, deliver exceptional patient care, and optimize their supply chains. The systems you create will manage billions of dollars in transactions and empower clinics to focus on their patients, not their logistics.

• Collaborate Across the Kennel
  :
  Work closely with product, design, and operations teams to align on priorities and deliver impact.

• Experience
  : 8+ years of experience building and shipping software, with a proven ability to handle large-scale projects.

• Top Dog in Tech
  :
  Fluency in Python and/or JavaScript (React), with a curiosity to learn new tools and frameworks.

• Data Whisperer
  :
  Expertise in databases, APIs, and designing for scale and performance.

• Simplicity Expert
  :
  An instinct for building systems and code that are as elegant as they are effective.

• Great Communicator
  :
  Ability to explain technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively with others.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is: $170,000/year - $250,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. For Colorado, the salary range is: $180,000 - $220,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. This salary range is a good faith estimate of what Vetcove may pay for this position at the time of posting.

Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects the base hourly rate or annual compensation (as applicable), and does not include bonus, equity or other incentives.
