Role OverviewSr. Software Engineer in San Mateo, CA to architect, design, and develop a mission‑critical data activation platform.
Responsibilities- Architect, design, and develop mission‑critical data activation platform.
- Build distributed systems with a focus on low latency, high throughput, and high availability.
- Utilize AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, SQS, and IAM.
- Develop modular and testable code using dependency injection frameworks such as Guice and Spring.
- Implement TDD with JUnit and Mockito and perform unit testing.
- Monitor service health using Cloud Watch, Data Dog, and Grafana.
- Ensure rapid delivery of services with CI/CD infrastructure.
- Manage data pipelines, real‑time data flows, and stream processing with Kafka, Flink, and Spark.
- Cache data using Redis and Aerospike to achieve high throughput.
- Develop with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Actuator, and MySQL.
- Work with event streaming platforms such as Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, and SNS.
- Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing real‑time distributed systems for core experiences.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services and managing AWS components.
- Proficiency with dependency injection frameworks such as Guice and Spring.
- Strong background in test‑driven development using JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience monitoring services through Cloud Watch, Data Dog, and Grafana.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, stream processing, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Redis, and Aerospike.
- Experience with MySQL, Spring Boot, and Spring Actuator.
- Proficiency in Java/Kotlin or other JVM‑based languages.
