Senior Solutions Engineer - Generalist

Requirements

• We require an active DoD Secret clearance.
• We are seeking someone with 7 to 10 years of professional software development experience.
• We value demonstrated breadth across multiple languages, stacks, or problem domains, along with proof that you can learn new technologies on the job and deliver with them.
• We need depth in at least one area, ideally one of our core technologies.
• We expect strong transferable fundamentals, including solution and software design, service integration, data modeling, testing, and version control.
• We want a pragmatic engineer who is comfortable owning the problem and making balanced technical decisions.
• You should be able to work through ambiguity and carry work from concept to production.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences is essential.
• Experience with Agile practices is preferred.
• We prefer experience with Python, Databricks, and working across multiple technologies.
• Azure cloud experience is desirable.
• Mentoring engineers or helping set technical direction on small teams is a plus.
• You must be able to work onsite part of the week in the Washington, DC area.
• We require a Secret clearance.

• We design and build solutions end to end, from understanding the problem through delivery and ongoing support.
• We deliver an initial Python-based web application and a Databricks data pipeline.
• We move between backend services, CI/CD and automation, platform integrations, and user-facing interfaces as priorities change.
• We make practical technical choices by weighing effort, maintainability, and business value, and we explain our reasoning.
• We partner with product owners, stakeholders, and fellow engineers to turn ambiguous requirements into working software.
• We contribute across technologies as the teams needs evolve, including Service Now, Angular, Java/Spring, Python, and Databricks.

We are an experienced team looking for a versatile engineer who enjoys learning unfamiliar technologies quickly and delivering across a broad range of solutions rather than staying in one stack. Our first engagement centers on a Python web application and a Databricks pipeline, but the role expands into backend services, integrations, automation, and front‑end work over time.

We offer a full‑time position with a hybrid remote work model in the Washington, DC area, with 2 to 3 days onsite per week. The compensation ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 annually, and our benefits include 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, and bonus opportunities.
