Job Description
This position is to lead a part of the Platform group
, which focuses on building tools and systems to improve the software development lifecycle. This group plays a pivotal role in our area by supporting hundreds of engineers across the company.
We actively invest in AI and R&D to build smarter, scalable tools for our Product and Tech organization. As an Engineering Manager, you'll support AI integration in products, foster experimentation and prototyping to drive innovation through data.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Engineering Manager in this group, you’ll be fully responsible and accountable for managing your team(s), ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery with high operational standards.

Tech stackThe tech stack at Docplanner Tech includes NodeJS, .Net, PHP, and Vue/React Native, running on Kubernetes in AWS. While expertise in these technologies isn’t required, this is a technical role, and a solid technical background is essential to effectively support the teams.
What you’ll be doing- Lead and represent a team of multi-disciplinary squads. Provide accountability for all the initiatives of your teams.
- Work closely with the technical leaders of the group and the area to develop an effective technical strategy.
- Act as a point of reference for our Leadership team and for the main Stakeholders of your teams.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching inside the team, through regular feedback and performance assessments.
- Understand and focus on your customer’s needs.
- Foster Platform as a Product approach.
- Own process from discovery to delivery.
- Facilitate OKR process.
- Enhance and facilitate communication between the team and the product teams.
- Set and clearly communicate the team roadmap to achieve the mission and goals.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Act as a hands‑on project manager and people leader throughout the process.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time within scope and budget.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, tech leaders, product teams, and legal and security teams.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching inside the team.
- Provide regular feedback to team members and help them set and achieve personal career goals.
- Regularly assess the performance of team members.
- Have deep, hands‑on experience using AI to accelerate the software development lifecycle, such as improving how code is written, reviewed, or refactored.
- Have strong judgment on when to rely on AI versus traditional engineering approaches to solve complex technical problems.
- Have experience leading and managing teams that build and operate systems at a high‑traffic scale (e.g., multi‑region, cloud‑native).
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead engineering teams through major architectural transitions while maintaining high delivery speed and team morale.
- Have a solid technical background related to the whole SDLC and can support and unblock your teams in complex technical discussions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in R&D, AI Solutions or related fields.
- Approach software development with a lean, proactive, and positive mindset, balancing impact and long‑term sustainable development, with a strong accountability for delivering high‑quality solutions.
