Office Address 10311 Wilson Rd Blythewood, SC 29016, 100% onsite through probationary period, then option for hybrid schedule. Local or regional location SC, GA, NC will be given priority.
This will be a hybrid role allowing the candidate the opportunity for remote work. The initial engagement will require on site to work with SC DMV engineers and business specialists in a real-time development and maintenance mode. SC DMV expects this to be a long term relationship. Regional candidates will be given priority (SC, GA, NC).
KeyRoles and Responsibilities
- Analyze the SC DMV Phoenix II, Web Service, and batch business applications
- Take the lead in analyzing and troubleshooting assigned system problems
- Propose solutions
- Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirements.
- Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager.
- 8 years of development with Microfocus Visual COBOL in Windows Server 2019/2022, batch and under IIS.
- 4 years of development using Visual Studio 2019/2022 including the ability to use the debugger
- 4 years of application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, SQL).
- 5 years of ability to write complex queries using SQL for Oracle and MS SQL DB.
- 2 years of IIS configuration/setup
- 1 year of Microsoft C# .NET
Bachelor’s degree in information technology related discipline with 8 years of experience or minimum 10 years related experience without degree.
Preferred Certifications- MS technical certifications will be factored in the selection process.
- Microfocus certifications are a significant advantage.
