Protocol Engineer at Baires Dev

As a Protocol Engineer, you will design and implement the internal mechanisms of blockchain protocols. You will be responsible for the core architecture that ensures network security and efficiency, focusing on consensus algorithms and peer-to-peer connectivity to support next-generation decentralized systems.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop core blockchain protocol components including consensus mechanisms and state management.
  • Implement and optimize peer-to-peer networking layers to ensure robust and scalable node communication.
  • Apply advanced cryptographic principles to secure transaction validation and protocol upgrades.
  • Write high-performance, system-level code in Rust or Go to maintain protocol integrity.
  • Collaborate with the research community to evaluate and implement cutting-edge distributed systems features.
  • Ensure the reliability and security of the protocol through rigorous testing and performance tuning.
What We Are Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on blockchain development or systems programming.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing blockchain protocol internals and consensus mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in low-level programming using Rust or Go.
  • Deep understanding of P2P networking, cryptography, and distributed state management.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
