OverviewGovCIO is currently seeking a Appian Frontend Developer to collaborate and implement with a cross-functional teams dedicated to delivering impactful features. This pivotal role will help coordinate the development efforts across different departments to ensure timely and efficient feature rollouts. This position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).
ResponsibilitiesThe Appian Frontend Developer will provide guidance on Appian product configuration, mapping of requirements and rulesets to Appian objects and process flow, design review, performance testing, scaling, and industry specific knowledge.
Liaison with customers to collect, clarify, analyze and translate business requirements into technical design and implementation.
Produces rulesets, configurations, process workflows and technical solutions for development and supports requirement gatherings sessions.
Collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop a deep and thorough understanding of the client enterprise while leading large, multi-year program initiatives.
Creates and maintains business process and technical documentation including workflows, architecture diagrams, interface diagrams and design best practices.
Participates in meetings with client, business analysis team and internal technical and operational teams.
Experienced in Appian 18.x (and above) design, implementation and ability to translate software requirements specifications into Appian application and prototype.
Implements design, development, and testing best practices across the entire software development life cycle.
Extensive knowledge of government or industry configuration management procedures.
Practical experience in the use of automated tools with support to the configuration management efforts.
Thorough knowledge of software development and Government documentation standards.
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
3+ years in defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations leveraging different architectural views.
3+ years of experience in Enterprise Application integration (SOA, ESB) and n-tier client-server architectures preferred.
3+ years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business critical applications following Agile methodologies.
3+ years of Business Architecture including identifying & decomposing business capabilities.
3+ years of Business process modeling & optimization experience.
3+ years of recent hands-on experience with Appian.
3+ years of experience developing Appian Plugin.
3+ years of working knowledge of Application Servers like JBoss, Weblogic, IIS, Tomcat etc. as part of the installation.
3+ years experienced in configuring, debugging, and systems integration including configuring forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer.
Presenting demos to the customers.
Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and configurations of Appian BPM.
Must have excellent analytical and technical skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
Must be able to work with business users and business analysis team to gather and refine requirements.
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
Skills and Experience:
2+ years of recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting.
Certified Level 3 Appian Developer.
Exposure to common industry platforms and programming languages – Appian BPM, IBM Web Sphere, Mule, LAMP/JBOSS, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.NET is preferred.
Experience working with Appian Sites.
3+ years of experience with Agile Framework.
Orchestration of modeled process through a Workflow application.
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
