Remote-eligible role with preferred locations in Tucson, AZ;
Rochester, NY; or Pasadena, CA.

We are looking for Senior Software Engineer with CAD/CAMfrontenddevelopment experience in windows technologywho is motivated andoperatesata high levelof responsibility.

The purpose of the position is to provide innovative user-friendly software development solutions while maintaining and expandingscalablearchitecture for our flagship optical design software.

The position requires strong development skillsin C++ and Pythonandnecessitatesthe abilitytounderstand,experimentanddrive towards workable software.

• Building solutionsinC++for our optical design software tools used by major consumer electronics companies

• Actively engage with subject expertsin solutionenvisioning and feature development to help lower the adoption threshold of the software

• Research, experiment,advocateanddevelop enhancements to improve usability and transform UI stack to modern technologies

• Employstate-of-the-artdevelopment tools and practices to ensure high-quality and high-performance solutions are delivered to the market efficiently

• Work with developers,testersand customerrepresentativesin anagile environment to createsoftware solutions to tacklecutting edgeproblems

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Scienceor technical field(e.g., Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Optics).

• Strong software development background(5-10yrs of experience)

• Multiple years and deep understanding of theC++ language

• Proficient in Python

• Hands-on experience in Frontend Development,User Workflow Design,using technology for windows platform - Qt/QML,.Net, MFC

• Strong communication skills for working in team as well as the ability tointerface with subject experts to translate technical know-howinto product solutions

Knowledge andexpertisein any of the following areas is a plus:

• Experience working with large commercial software systems with HPC

• Licensing and Installer technology experience

• Experience developing CAD applications with strong foundationin3
  
  Dgeometry and numerical method

• Developed shippable AI product/solution

• Cross platform development experience

California Pay Range: MIN $143,050- MAX $238,420
