You design how a product looks and how it behaves, and you can explain the difference. The work covers websites, apps, and dashboards for our clients, usually handed to a developer on our side to build.
We keep this role open year-round. When a build needs design, we bring you in before the developer starts, not after, with the scope and the pay for that project.
What the work looks like:
- Website and app design in Figma, from flows to final screens
- Design systems and component libraries a developer can build from without guessing
- Prototypes for client review before code gets written
- Working directly with our developers while the build is live
Contract, project-based, remote. Typical pay is $40 to $60 an hour depending on the project.
What we're looking for- A portfolio of shipped interfaces, not only concepts
- Strong in Figma, including components and prototyping
- You think in flows and edge cases, not only screens
- You can present design decisions to a client and explain the reasoning
- Bonus: enough HTML/CSS literacy to talk to developers
