What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking Software Systems Engineers to join a diverse, high-energy team that provide application and systems administration for large-scale enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. This multifaceted team implements and customizes large COTS systems and crafts unique software solutions. Are you passionate about providing creative solutions to software development challenges? On any given day, you may be called on to:
Work with a high performing development team developing innovative programs and subprograms, as well as improvements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
Utilize software engineering principles, tools, and advanced techniques to develop and support applications, including software development methodologies, database design methodologies, programming languages, source code control for release management, and disaster recovery methodologies.
Prepare evaluate the effectiveness of concepts and prototypes for information system software solutions or specialized software domains.
Implement commercial-off-the-shelf and internally developed software solutions.
Evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system.
Participate in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance and quality standards.
Support the implementation and execution of Dev Ops processes and capabilities.
* The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range:
$87,400 - $168,800
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience supporting COTS tools, including PLM software , e.g. Windchill, Aras, Teamcenter, etc.
Familiarity with the Scrum agile framework and configuration management practices.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Desire:
Willingness and ability to learn new software development tools.
Relevant experience with large software implementations in a high rigor environment.
Experience in PTC's Windchill application suite and related/supporting components.
Experience writing Java code.
Knowledge of Windchill APIs.
Knowledge of Oracle SQL.
General understanding of Apache Webserver, Tomcat servlet.
Experience using an IDE such as Eclipse.
Understanding of software testing procedures and their application to project work.
Experience in the Nuclear Security Enterprise.
Experience working in a classified computing environment.
About Our Team:
The Product Data Management Operations Enterprise Technical Solutions department (9357) is responsible for the strategy definition, development, and implementation of modern, efficient, scalable and secure next generation PDM engineering solutions used throughout the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) and provides Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for the Out Of The Box (OOTB) capabilities provided by the Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Windchill PDMLink application.
