Position Summary The Senior Microsoft SQL Developer will support the modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform undergoing a partial rewrite usingmicroservices and modularization. This role is a critical part of the Agile/Scrum project team and is responsible for developing, optimizing, and modernizing SQL components within a business-critical, high-availability SQLServer environment running on Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS). The developer will collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, API developers, andtesters to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of the database platform, reporting to the Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and viewsto support new application capabilities.

Perform advanced performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization for a business-critical SQL environment.

Modernize existing SQL components while supporting legacy SQL code and structures.

Support new feature development aligned with the microservices-based application modernization approach.

Collaborate with .NET Core/C# developers to ensure efficient data access patterns and API/database integrations.

Participate in modernizing existing database models to support modular,scalable architecture.

Support and maintain high availability environments using Always On availability groups.

Develop migration scripts, ETL logic, and integration solutions using SSISand Databricks.

Ensure PCI compliance requirements are followed and implement data retention rules as required.
