Senior AI Software & Quality Engineer

Title: AVP/VP

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile Senior Engineer to bridge the gap between core Python software development, robust quality engineering (QE), and practical artificial intelligence applications. In this role, you will use your deep, expert-level Python engineering skills to write clean feature code, build automated testing infrastructure, and integrate machine learning capabilities into production systems. As a flexible team member, you will fluidly pivot between building features, designing test systems, and fine-tuning AI models based on the project's highest priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Python Development:
  Architect and write scalable, production-grade backends and microservices primarily utilizing Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI, Django).
• AI Engineering:
  Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), configure vector databases, implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and deploy AI models.
• Integrated Quality Engineering:
  Build and scale automated test suites (API, performance, integration, and end-to-end web testing) using Python frameworks like pytest and Playwright, and develop specialized validation layers to check AI outputs for bias, hallucinations, and safety.
• Continuous Delivery:
  Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle by writing infrastructure as code, maintaining Docker environments, and embedding automated Playwright and API quality gates directly into CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Requirements

• Primary Expertise:
  Advanced proficiency in Python programming (including concurrency, design patterns, and asynchronous programming) and automated testing tools (Playwright, pytest, unit test).
• AI & Data
  
  Skills:
  
  Practical experience with AI orchestration frameworks (Lang Chain, Llama Index), model fine-tuning, embedding generation, and vector databases (Chroma, Pinecone).
• Broad Engineering
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong baseline knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), CI/CD platforms (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab), database design (SQL and No
