CVS Pharmacy Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI:
Sr. Software Development Engineer designs, develops, and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.

Duties include:

Designs and defines the technical architecture and infrastructure required for digital solutions. Writes code, develops software components, and implements complex functionalities according to project requirements. Collaborates with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, proposes design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions. Leverages advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency.

Integrates various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution. Writes and executes comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions. Participates in agile or other development methodologies, attends meetings, contributes to project planning, and helps drive the progress and success of digital projects.

Explores new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team. Creates and maintains technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration. Hybrid position: remote work permitted but must live within commuting distance of designated office location and remain available to report to office as needed and required.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

• Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or Dev Ops
• Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles
• Typescript or objected-oriented Java Script
• Java, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or No

• Docker or Kubernetes
• Cloud technologies:
  Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Cloud components including cluster management
• Oracle, Redis, or Cassandra database
• JIRA, Rally, or Confluence
• R or Python
• Hibernate or Oracle
• Writing application code and deploying to production
• Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions
• Relational database concepts
• Contributing to large-scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects
• Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sector

Pay Range: $147680.00/year to $203940.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
