Remote C++ Engineer -Frequency Trading Systems

I'm partnering with a highly successful proprietary trading firm that is looking to hire a C++ Software Engineer to build the systems that power its high-frequency trading infrastructure.

You'll work on performance-critical software responsible for market data, exchange connectivity and trade execution, helping to improve the speed, reliability and efficiency of live trading systems. Working closely with traders, quantitative researchers and fellow engineers, you'll take ownership of projects from design through to deployment in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical team where engineering work has a direct impact on trading performance and successful ideas can move quickly from concept to production.

What you'll do

• Design, build and optimise high-performance C++ systems used in a high-frequency trading environment

• Develop and improve exchange connectivity, market data and execution infrastructure

• Improve latency, throughput and reliability across distributed systems

• Build clean, maintainable software using modern C++

• Work closely with traders and quantitative researchers to deliver ideas into production

• Profile, benchmark and optimise system performance

• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the firm's trading platform and engineering tooling

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience with modern C++

• Experience with in HFT/electronic trading/market making

• Experience building high-performance, distributed or latency-sensitive systems

• Good understanding of networking and concurrent programming

• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to tackle complex technical challenges
