Key Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and test the code and scripts that allow computer applications to run.
• Work from specifications drawn up by software and web developers or other individuals.
• Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality source code to develop software applications.
• Use programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or others based on project requirements.
• Design and implement efficient algorithms to solve specific problems or achieve desired functionalities.
• Identify and fix software bugs or errors through debugging and testing processes.
• Work closely with other team members, including software developers, designers, and project managers, to understand project requirements and collaborate on software development projects.
• Design and manage databases to store and retrieve application data efficiently.
• Optimize existing code for better performance and resource utilization.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, user manuals, and system documentation.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality, reliability, and security of software applications.
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes in the source code.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, programming languages, and best practices to enhance skills and stay competitive.
• Implement security measures to protect software applications from potential vulnerabilities and attacks.
• Work on designing and improving the user interface and overall user experience of software applications.
• Update and maintain existing software applications by implementing patches, updates, and new features.
• Monitor and analyze software performance, identifying and addressing issues that may affect speed, reliability, or usability.
• Participate in project planning, providing time estimates for coding tasks and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule.
• Follow coding standards and best practices to ensure the maintainability and readability of the codebase.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay current with emerging technologies and advancements in programming languages and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Applications, Engineering, Computer/Management Information Systems, Electrical/Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field with a Baccalaureate degree, or a Master's degree.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with software development life cycle processes.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
