Open Train AI is seeking an intermediate Mechanical Engineering Problem Author to create original, realistic computational problem sets and provide fully verified solutions using Python. The problems should reflect genuine engineering workflows, including numerical methods, optimization, system design, and analysis.
You will author clearly written prompts and reproducible solutions validated with scientific Python libraries such as Num Py, Pandas, and Sci Py. The work also includes code annotation or review and requires familiarity with engineering computation workflows and automation.
- Create original mechanical engineering problem sets
- Develop fully verified, reproducible Python solutions
- Model numerical methods, optimization, system design, and analysis
- Write clear prompts and document solutions carefully
- Annotate or review code as part of the workflow
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least two years of Python programming experience. Strong attention to detail, clear documentation skills, and practical experience with computational methods in engineering are required.
You should be proficient with Num Py, Pandas, and Sci Py and have hands-on code annotation or review experience. Familiarity with engineering computation workflows and automation is also required.
