Software Engineer

This role is hybrid, 3-days per week from our Research Triangle Park, North Carolina office.

As a Software Engineer within Cisco's Collaboration Devices group, you will design and implement the cutting-edge software features that power the future of hybrid work - specifically Cisco Phone and Room devices. You will actively collaborate with senior technical leaders and cross-functional engineering teams to build robust, scalable solutions that enhance global communication. This role is exciting because it places you at the intersection of high-impact hardware and intuitive software, offering the opportunity to influence products used by millions of users daily.

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related software development experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of related software development experience. Experience working with performance-critical, device-level applications using C and C++ programming languages. Experience in software development for embedded systems or network devices. Experience using Python or Java for scripting and automation tasks, application development and integration within device software.

Experience with production ready CI/CD pipelines with experience managing and writing automation tests.

Experience with version control systems such as Git and command-line tools to support development workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to learn and adapt to new programming languages and technologies as required.
