Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Product Builder, Growth
Location: New York

Uses vibe-coding tools (Claude Code) and builds agents/MCP servers; expects rapid prototyping and shipping of AI-driven flows.

About the Role

Lead growth by owning and shipping the end-to-end seller submission funnel, buyer search/discovery, and the experimentation infrastructure—writing code, running high-velocity tests, and using models/agents to improve submission volume and search-to-bid conversion.

Job Description Role

This is a hands-on builder role focused on driving new user and activity growth for a two-sided marketplace. You will own the seller submission funnel, buyer search and discovery, and the experimentation harness end-to-end: find drop-offs, write and ship code, run experiments, read results, and iterate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own submission funnel end-to-end in code: onboarding, Snap to Sell, quote acceptance, vault intake, resubmission, and activation of dormant sellers.
  • Own search, discovery, and buyer conversion: ranking, filtering, recommendations, and integrating real-time Alt Value pricing context into ranking code.
  • Build and operate an experimentation harness: assignment, exposure logging, guardrails, readouts, and decision rules wired to the warehouse to enable fast, trustworthy tests.
  • Monitor marketplace liquidity and supply-demand balance; build product interventions to fix imbalances by category, price tier, and seller segment.
  • Ship model-driven solutions (e.g., dealer reactivation models, model-driven ranking) and operationalize them rather than running manual campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Lifecycle, and Ops; report directly to the CEO and communicate trade-offs and prioritization clearly.
How You’ll Use AI
  • Build agents, agent-driven experiment readouts, and model-driven ranking or reactivation systems (e.g., agents that pull tests, check guardrails, and write ship-or-kill recommendations).
  • Implement MCP-style servers over analytics (Post Hog) and the warehouse to make investigative queries and flows conversational and actionable.
  • Prototype and ship flows using tools like Claude Code or vibe-coding tools and product ionize the versions that work.
What Great Looks Like (6 months)
  • Shipping to production within weeks and being fully integrated into the team’s code review flow.
  • Measurable weekly submission volume growth driven by shipped changes.
  • An experimentation harness supporting multiple concurrent, trusted tests and enabling quick decisions.
  • Improved Snap to Sell activation and search-to-bid conversion driven by improvements you built.
  • Dealer reactivation running as a model decision rather than manual outreach.
  • A concise, living prioritization plan used by Engineering, Data, and leadership.
Requirements
  • Proven track record shipping production code and owning PRs and on-call consequences; full-stack enough to deliver frontend flows, APIs, queries, and jobs.
  • Experience owning and moving growth metrics for a funnel, marketplace surface, or PLG motion (the posting references roughly 5+ years of building experience, assessed by work rather than years alone).
  • Strong data fluency: ability to pull your own numbers and build instrumentation (SQL and Python explicitly mentioned).
  • Experimentation experience: design tests, set decision rules ahead of time, and make calls on partial data.
  • Deep understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics, liquidity, supply and demand trade-offs.
  • Experience building with AI: agents, skills, MCP servers, connectors, or internal tooling that teams depend on.
  • High ownership, scrappiness, clear communication, and comfort operating without detailed requirements or traditional handoffs.
Interview Process (summary)
  • Hiring manager with CEO (30–45 minutes).
  • Team interviews (two 45-minute sessions) with engineers and data partners.
  • Build walkthrough (45–60 minutes): present a repo/PR/tool/agent you built.
  • Executive interview (30 minutes).
  • Reference checks (15 minutes).
  • Compensation Range: $200,000 - $250,000
  • Medical, dental, and vision: company covers 85% (up to 50% for dependents)
  • HSA/FSA available
  • Flexible PTO
  • Parental leave at full salary
  • $200/month wellness stipend and $100/month home office stipend
  • Free Door Dash membership
  • Remote-first with WeWork access
  • 401(k)
  • Equity (Alt equity) for full-time employees
