Senior iOS Design Engineer
Join a fast-paced team of engineers creating cutting edge software products for the Joint Operations and medical communities (Air Force, Army, and Navy). You will work alongside BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS) and US Air Force developers and engineers to provide technologies that increase the capabilities of our nation's military. Your creative solutions to the day-to-day challenges faced by the Special Forces community will be recognized and protected. - Design and build native iOS and iPadOS user experiences for complex workflows.
- Work with users, product owners, designers, and engineers to understand problems and shape intuitive solutions.
- Prototype new ideas to support feature definition, workflow validation, and product discovery.
- Create sketches, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity comps, and interaction models.
- Translate design concepts into polished front-end code using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Refine visual details, interaction behavior, accessibility, layout, motion, and responsiveness.
- Apply Apple Human Interface Guidelines, platform conventions, and native interaction patterns.
- Break down large or ambiguous feature ideas into clear, user-centered interface solutions.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Remote Work Considered:
This position combines in-person collaboration and customer engagement with independent work. Based on multiple factors, remote work may be considered and is at the discretion of the business. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered.
- Experience with design tools and platforms including Figma (required).
- Experience designing and building user interfaces with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
