Senior Full-Stack Developer
Pioneering Evolution is seeking a highly motivated Senior Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of secure, scalable, and modular software solutions for a mission-focused federal software platform. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications that meet stringent compliance, audit, security, and performance requirements while helping drive the evolution of software engineering best practices across the organization.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend services Core, aligned with performance, security, and compliance objectives.
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using the Angular Framework and integrate them seamlessly with backend services.
- Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on application design, development standards, and implementation approaches.
- Write and oversee unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies to ensure code quality, maintainability, and system reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, Dev Ops, data engineering, and product teams to deliver fully integrated software solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical planning sessions, code reviews, and sprint execution activities.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting engineering excellence and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Document application architecture, backend logic, service interactions, data flows, and technical decisions to ensure traceability and maintainability.
- Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution for mission-critical applications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, automation, security, and development efficiency.
Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of full-stack software development experience Core and modern front-end frameworks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing applications using the Angular Framework.
- Strong expertise in RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and secure coding standards.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale web applications in compliance-driven environments.
- Strong proficiency with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, including database design and performance optimization.
- Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment.
- Must be available to work full-time and on-site in the Washington D.C. metro area.
- U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance are required.
Desired experience:
- Experience developing solutions for secure, compliance-driven federal or Department of Defense environments.
- Experience with cloud-native application development and deployments in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Experience implementing secure integration methodologies and automated security testing.
- Experience with message-based architectures, event-driven systems, or enterprise integration patterns.
