Primary Duties and Responsibilities Build technology that makes a difference.Join UCLA Health's digital transformation journey as a Salesforce Application Programmer and help build innovative solutions that improve the experience of patients, providers, and staff across one of the nation's leading health systems.
In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance enterprise Salesforce applications, partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centered solutions. You'll work across a modern Salesforce ecosystem that includes Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, leveraging both declarative and custom development approaches.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions and integrations.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into impactful applications.
- Build custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce platform technologies.
- Support system enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization efforts.
- Contribute to development standards, code quality, and best practices.
- Experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Data Cloud.
- Knowledge of integration standards such as REST, SOAP, JSON, OAuth, HL7, and FHIR.
- Experience with modern development tools including Git, Git Hub, VS Code, Jira, and CI/CD practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four or more years of progressively responsible application development experience, ideally in a healthcare environment.
These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.
Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $ 98,200 - $214,600 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.
As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct;

Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Data Cloud - Knowledge of HL7, FHIR and DICOM Standards
- Understanding and learning other programming languages may be necessary.
- Tooling skills include but are not limited to:
Visual Studio Code, Git/Github, Jenkins/Github Actions, Jira, and Servicenow. - The candidate should understand Object Oriented Programming and standards such as but not limited to REST/SOAP, JSON, YAML, oAuth/JWT and SWAGGER.
- Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of multiple areas of focus in application specialty areas. Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
- Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision-making.
- Must be detail oriented and have a knack for probing for information, in order to fully understand the underlying needs that influence how a system should be configured/ organized.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks.
