Job Description Senior C++ Software Engineer - Senior C++ Software Engineer | Shannon | Hybrid | Permanent

Our client is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to develop high-performance software within a technically advanced R&D environment.

Responsibilities

Develop high-performance software using modern C/C++.
Design and optimise multithreaded and distributed systems.
Contribute to software architecture and technical decisions.
Develop networking and inter-process communication solutions.
Troubleshoot complex performance and stability issues.
Support testing, automation, and code quality.
Mentor other engineers.

Requirements

Strong commercial C/C++ experience.
Excellent knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and OOP.
Experience with concurrency, distributed systems, and networking.
Strong Linux development experience.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, sockets, or similar technologies.
Experience with Git, testing, and CI/CD.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have Docker/containerisation.
HPC or parallel programming.
Python/Bash.
