About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Secure Build team! You’ll work on our new Secure Build offering. Secure Build offers zero-CVE container images for open source software, backed by a business model that’s fundamentally creator-first. To learn more about this product visit

Engineering at Replicated – our engineers contribute to every stage of building the Replicated delivery and management platform – from early brainstorming to shipping and supporting the final product. Working with open-source technologies like Kubernetes, K0s, and Helm, you’ll help us continue to build the next generation of multi-premise features for Independent Software Vendors and Enterprise customers.

• Work with product managers, designers, engineers, and customers to iterate features from the prototype stage to GA.
• Work across the lifecycle of our products: design, develop, document, test, integrate, deploy, support, and collaborate.
• Mentor and be mentored, growing and investing in each other’s growth is a key part of our culture.
• Be curious about everything we deliver and the problems we are solving for our customers.
• Engage with customers, join calls to watch the product in use, receive direct feedback, and ideate on possible solutions.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver solutions for our customers.
• Participate in weekly support and on‑call rotations.
• Contribute and champion a culture of quality and testing; help guide others who have less experience.

• Senior level professional development experience with Go and associated tooling.
• Deep experience working with Linux.
• Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills. Proven ability to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical and product topics, and to communicate with leadership and stakeholders across the company.
• Engage with customers to better understand the problems they are trying to solve.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining API services and their respective data stores.
• Experience developing and shipping software in a cloud‑native, customer‑facing infrastructure.
• Proven ability to create and deliver impactful contributions, both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience taking on complex challenges and breaking them down into iterative deliverables.
• Experience delivering software within the constraints of a modern CI/CD pipeline.
• A high degree of curiosity for innovative software, balanced with an appreciation for sustainable solutions.

In your first 30 days:
Learn as much as you can about the company, team, and product; complete hands‑on training, onboard checklist, and meet with team members; improve the onboarding process; spend time with the team and pair with members to grow knowledge.

In your first 60 days:
Pair with engineering buddy and contribute to existing initiatives; shadow engineers in on‑call and support rotation; examine systems to understand the “why” and challenge answers; continue to grow understanding of products and inter‑service interactions.

In your first 90 days:
Take a leadership role for one of the team’s priorities; use expertise to improve reliability and quality of shipping; join on‑call and support rotation as a fully forged member; continue learning and growing.

In the US the salary range for this role is as follows:

Sr. Software Engineer I: $148,500 – $181,500

Sr. Software Engineer II: $162,000 – $198,000

Compensation bands depend on level, qualifications, and experience. Beyond the posted range, compensation can extend. Stock options, strong health insurance package, unique home office allowance, and professional development budget are also provided.
