About the RoleOur Hospitality group is dedicated to building exceptional restaurant point-of-sale (POS) solutions, simplifying the complexities of running both full-service and quick-service restaurants. As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of high-availability, real-time systems that power restaurant operations, with a focus on payments and payment processing. Your work will be instrumental in providing our customers with a competitive edge, delivering seamless and secure experiences for restaurant staff and patrons alike.
WhatYou’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain Android-based POS software
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and backend engineering, to define, build, and deliver impactful features.
Ensure software quality and reliability through automated testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Address and resolve technical challenges, applying sound judgment and creativity to recommend effective solutions.
Contribute to subsystem-level design work, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to influence the product roadmap and technical decisions.
8+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
Must be well-versed with both Java and Kotlin.
Experience with RxJava will be an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience building high-availability, real-time systems, preferably in the payments or financial technology domain.
Understanding of secure payment protocols, PCI compliance, and payment processing workflows preferred (but not required).
Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Strong problem-solving skills, with experience working on complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across disciplines.
