Job Description
We’re looking for a Mid-Level iOS Engineer to join the Native App team supporting the consumer-facing Abercrombie and Hollister iOS apps. This engineer will contribute to delivering high-quality mobile experiences that serve millions of customers, partnering closely with product, design, and backend teams to build scalable and engaging retail experiences. This role will play a key part in evolving our apps through modern iOS development practices and exploring the integration of AI‑driven capabilities that enhance customer journeys.
WhatWill You Be Doing?
- Design, develop, and maintain features for the Abercrombie and Hollister iOS applications.
- Contribute to the full app lifecycle including discovery, design, development, testing, release, and post‑launch support.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable Swift code following team standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Partner with Android and backend teams to ensure cohesive, cross‑platform experiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve app performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Contribute to architectural decisions using established patterns such as MVVM and modular design.
- Stay current with iOS trends, tools, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to integrating AI‑driven features such as personalization, recommendations, and conversational experiences.
- Support experimentation with emerging technologies such as on‑device ML and agent‑based experiences.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure the impact of AI‑enabled features.
- Explore ways to improve both customer experience and developer productivity through AI.
Core Technical Skills
- 3–5+ years of professional software development experience with hands‑on iOS development.
- Strong experience with Swift and Apple iOS frameworks.
- Understanding of architectural patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Experience building scalable, high‑quality mobile applications.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and backend service integration.
- Experience with testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD.
- Ownership mindset with a focus on delivering business value.
- Leadership in ensuring quality from code creation through production.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or APIs such as personalization or search.
- Experience or interest in integrating AI capabilities into mobile applications.
- Exposure to experimentation frameworks, analytics tools, or data‑driven development.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
