Position Overview

The State of Arizona – AZDWR is seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise applications supporting agency operations. The role will work closely with Business Analysts, functional users, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, maintain applications, and support Salesforce, Mule Soft, SQL, and Oracle platforms.

Required Skills

3+ years of experience as a Lead Developer on one or more Salesforce implementations
7+ years of developer experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
3+ years of SQL experience
Active Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
Strong Salesforce development, configuration, and administration
Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
Experience assessing existing systems and refactoring/redesigning solutions
Experience with Salesforce APIs and integrations
Experience with Mule Soft Anypoint Platform
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
Experience with Agile methodologies and source control

Preferred / Plus Skills

Salesforce Certified Public Sector Solutions Consultant – highly preferred
Salesforce Advanced Developer / Platform Developer II certification
Experience with Salesforce Dev Ops tools such as Copado
Experience with Omni Studio for interactive and guided user experiences
Advanced Mule Soft integration experience
Experience with REST APIs / API design and implementation

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and maintain applications across Salesforce, Mule Soft, SQL, and Oracle platforms.
Analyze and reverse-engineer existing applications and code to identify improvements and develop enhancements.
Assess existing systems and refactor/redesign solutions for improved performance and maintainability.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, functional users, and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
Participate in planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of new applications.
Develop and maintain Salesforce Public Sector Solutions applications and APIs.
Design and implement integrations using Mule Soft Anypoint Platform.
Support application interfaces and ensure compliance with technology directives, regulations, and agency requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and development standards.
Participate in Agile development processes and maintain effective source control/versioning practices.
Provide application troubleshooting, maintenance, and production support.
Manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions within project deadlines.
