This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA metro area.

As the Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead for Commander, you will own technical direction and execution across Keeper’s Python and .NET SDKs, Commander CLI and related developer automation capabilities.
You will remain deeply hands‑on in architecture, coding, debugging and design while also guiding a small team of engineers and raising engineering standards across the platform. You will work closely with Product, QA, Security and other engineering teams to ensure Commander remains secure, reliable, extensible and easy to integrate into modern Dev Ops and enterprise workflows. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building developer‑facing tools, APIs and automation platforms and who can move comfortably between low‑level implementation details and broader architecture decisions.
Responsibilities- Define and drive the technical architecture and long‑term direction of Keeper Commander, including SDKs, CLI tooling and automation capabilities
- Design, build and maintain secure, scalable SDKs and developer tools across Python and .NET
- Lead development of CLI features, APIs and integrations used by enterprise administrators, developers and Dev Ops teams
- Architect integrations with CI/CD platforms, cloud services, infrastructure automation tools and enterprise systems
- Establish technical standards for SDK design, versioning, compatibility, error handling, testing and documentation
- Write high‑quality production code and remain actively involved in complex feature development and troubleshooting
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions and technical decision‑making across the Commander codebase
- Partner with Product to translate customer needs and platform priorities into scalable technical solutions
- Collaborate with Security and QA teams to strengthen secure coding, testing, reliability and release quality
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving performance, concurrency, authentication, integrations and distributed workflows
