As a Software Engineer III
- Data Platform Operations, you will develop, deliver, and support software and automation that strengthen the reliability and operational readiness of the organization's enterprise data platforms. Using established Dev Ops, Data Ops, Agile, and software engineering practices, you will help maintain scalable, observable, and well-governed data services that support business intelligence, analytics, regulatory reporting, customer data exchanges, and operational decision-making. This is not a traditional application development role.
While software engineering is an important part of the position, the primary focus is platform operations, production support, automation, monitoring, incident response, deployment enablement, governance, and continuous improvement. You will work mostly independently within a collaborative team, contribute technical expertise, and serve as a go-to resource for design, implementation, and troubleshooting within your assigned areas.
You will work across a diverse enterprise data ecosystem that includes cloud and on-premises platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming technologies, data integration platforms, orchestration tools, metadata and governance solutions, and emerging AI-enabled data capabilities. You will collaborate with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Technical Analysts, Solution Architects, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Analytics, and Business teams to support production workloads, improve data availability and quality, and reliably deliver data products and services.
