Software Developer, Backend Developer

Our client, a leading global airline, is seeking a Software Developer to join their team and help enhance customer service through contact center technologies, conversational experiences, and backend automation. This role will focus on developing and maintaining voice and chat solutions that support customer self-service and assist contact center agents. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Work Location:

• Develop and maintain backend services and automation supporting voice and chat applications
• Build and enhance IVR and conversational solutions that identify customer intent, manage interaction flows, and route requests appropriately
• Integrate applications, backend services, APIs, and third-party platforms to support end-to-end workflows
• Develop and improve customer self-service capabilities and contact center automation
• Troubleshoot application issues across backend services, integrations, and connected systems
• Take ownership of assigned solutions, including development, maintenance, and ongoing improvements
• Collaborate with application, cloud, security, and infrastructure teams on modernization and cloud migration initiatives

• Experience developing backend applications and services with Node.js
• Experience with IVR systems, contact center technologies, chatbots, or conversational applications
• Experience with conversational AI platforms such as AWS Lex or Google Dialogflow, or natural language processing (NLP)
• Experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda and DynamoDB
• Experience building or supporting backend services and REST APIs
• Experience with application integrations, workflows, and automation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across connected applications and systems
• Understanding of how frontend applications interact with backend services
• Ability to take ownership of technical solutions and support them through ongoing development and maintenance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently

• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with .NET/C# or Java
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience with CI/CD, workflow automation, AI applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or agentic AI solutions

• Takes responsibility for assigned solutions from development through troubleshooting and ongoing support
• Investigates issues across application layers and identifies practical solutions
• Works effectively with cross-functional technical teams
• Learns new technologies and contributes to modernization initiatives
• Clearly communicates technical issues, solutions, and project progress

Remote Work Arrangement: 100% remote Technical Focus:
Primarily backend development, integrations, and automation, with exposure to contact center technologies and conversational AI

Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
