*** Always Compassionate Home Care is seeking an experienced driver with valid credentials to provide transportation to caregivers to different locations throughout the region. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7a-3p.
**** RESPONSIBILITIES
* ** Expectations Management
** Provides efficient transportation services to individuals and groups by driving vehicles safely according to schedule
* Maintains a clean vehicle by checking the inside regularly, picking up trash and vacuuming as needed. Takes vehicle to car wash and cleans outside of vehicle as assigned.
* Operates vehicle abiding by all New York local and state laws; observes safety and security procedures while transporting staff.
* Notifies supervisor of any changes and/or cancellations in the daily transportation schedule.
* Willingly and consistently shares observations and insights of departmental operations that may improve quality and efficiencies of department.
* Asset and Materials Management
** Maintains a safe vehicle and performs vehicle inspections as directed.
* Reports repairs, service needs, and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
* Administration and Reporting
** Maintains current and accurate records through use of computers and/or other documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
* Completes logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and submits to supervisor.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* ** High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Experience driving by providing transportation services preferred.
* Knowledge of state and federal driving laws and regulations required.
* Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet preferred.
* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
* Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be insurable under professional liability and crime coverage policies as specified by insurance carrier underwriting standards.
