Position: Fleet Admin - Hybrid - CA Only

Location:

Hybrid - Lancaster, Palmdale, Phelan, Desert Hot Springs, Merced, Yuba City, Tulare, Farmersville, Tehachapi, Chico.

Location Status:
Work will be primarily performed onsite at our office or remotely by telecommuting from your home office 2-4 days per week. Employee may be required to utilize personal phone or internet services to perform telecommuting with reimbursement. Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices or other off‑site locations may be required.

Compensation: $20 to $24 USD per hour.

Position Impact

The Fleet Admin is responsible for supporting all aspects of Race's vehicle fleet, from maintenance and repair to fuel management and driver training, ensuring the fleet runs efficiently and cost‑effectively. Duties include maintaining a detailed database, managing fuel and maintenance expenses, overseeing vehicle dispatch, scheduling repairs, managing the fuel card program, monitoring driver behavior, and coordinating with HR, IT, Finance, and Operations.

Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to support emergency response, outage restoration, and urgent maintenance for 24/7 operations.

Requirements
  • Eligibility for US employment without sponsorship.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid driver's license, subject to DMV verification.
  • At least 2-3 years of fleet management experience.
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance, repair, fuel management, and asset tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of local and state fleet regulations a plus.
  • Mastery of fleet management software and data analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Fleetio and Geotab strongly preferred.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime for emergency response and 24/7 operations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English.
  • Spanish language proficiency desirable.
Skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and teleconferencing tools.
  • Functional use of common office equipment, computers, and office software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fleet Maintenance and Management:
    • Monitors allocation and safe utilization of fleet vehicles and equipment.
    • Schedules vehicle maintenance and repair, coordinating with service providers.
    • Manages fuel cards and monitors fuel consumption per company policy.
    • Maintains accurate records of all vehicles.
    • Generates reports on fleet performance (fuel efficiency, utilization, maintenance costs).
    • Assists with procurement, maintenance, and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Driver Management and Compliance:
    • Ensures all drivers possess valid licenses and adhere to company standards.
    • Assists in coordination of insurance claims.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stays updated with latest trends and technologies in fleet management.
    • Identifies new opportunities and implements best practices.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Travel:
    • Maintains a clean driving record per insurance requirements.
    • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime for emergency response.
  • Safety Protocols:
    • Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines outlined in the Race employee handbook.
  • Additional duties as required.
