AAA Roadside Assistance Drivers

Job Overview

Our Woodlawn Fleet is looking for dependable and empathetic individuals who love helping others with flat tire changes, jump‑starting batteries, towing vehicles, etc. The role is a Roadside Assistance Technician, Mobile Battery Technician, or Tow Truck Technician. No CDL required. Overtime and monthly bonus opportunities available.

• Hourly rate $22.05 to $24.70, based on experience and position.
• 10% shift differential for 2nd shift (adds $2.00+ per hour).
• Schedule includes weekends after training.
• Overtime opportunity during peak season; monthly bonuses up to $300.

• Minimum age 21.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license for state of residence and compliance with local licensing requirements.
• Physical ability to pass a DOT/Company physical.
• 3 years experience in automotive/mechanical environment, technical school, or sales/customer service role preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, balance, and use hand tools.
• Pass satisfactory pre‑ and post‑employment screenings (criminal, drug, motor vehicle).
• Operate passenger vehicles and light‑medium duty trucks (manual & automatic). Work primarily from a service vehicle.
• Effective written, verbal, email, and GPS communication.
• Complete required training within 60 days of hire and ongoing training.

• Provide lock‑out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire changes per guidelines.
• Provide tow and recovery services; operator position trains accordingly.
• Sell and install car batteries (Mobile Battery position).
• Communicate with members to keep them informed and ensure safety.
• Make sound decisions regarding safe service of vehicles and accommodate member needs.
• Enter call info into in‑truck technology, process payments, handle cash, complete reports.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Secure fleet vehicle and equipment at all times.
• Support AAA in special events, parades, TV, radio, social media to promote brand.
• Other duties as assigned.

Full‑time Associates receive a comprehensive benefits package. The position is full‑time with a schedule including weekends. The job allows for remote work or work from home if the primary residence resides within the AAA Club Alliance footprint. Participants can customize their experience to suit individual needs.
