Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery of materials and finished goods, and supporting efficient transportation and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities- Schedule and track inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods shipments.
- Communicate daily with carriers to confirm pickup and delivery appointments.
- Prepare shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, and commercial invoices).
- Monitor freight costs and ensure proper billing and invoice accuracy.
- Escalate and resolve delivery delays or service failures.
- Coordinate dock schedules to prevent congestion.
- Ensure accurate shipment quantities and documentation.
- Assist with returns processing and claims management.
- Work with Production and Materials teams to prioritize urgent shipments.
- Communicate shipment status to Customer Service and Sales.
- Support Procurement with inbound delivery tracking.
- Maintain shipment logs and freight tracking reports.
- Update shipment data in ERP and WMS systems.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field, or 1-3 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or transportation.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Net Suite).
- Strong Excel and data entry accuracy skills.
This role is based fully onsite and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
