Wave Planner

Americold operates temperature‑controlled logistics worldwide and seeks a dedicated operations specialist to support efficient warehousing processes.

Allocate orders, release work to the warehouse floor, balance workflow, and ensure inbound and outbound truck turn times meet acceptable levels.

• Resolve order product shortages
• Manage order cuts and communicate to customers
• Release work to the work queue to maximize interleaving, productivity, and carrier turn times
• Prioritize individual Lift Truck Operator tasks along with Dock Supervisors
• Use dock optimization functionality for each receipt and order
• Run labor reports and review them with Dock Supervisors and Office Manager
• Review and update base priorities weekly to reduce manual changes in the work queue
• Coordinate LTO home work zone assignments with the Operations Manager
• Adjust product code velocity zone assignments with the Operations Manager
• Set optimal static and dynamic pick locations in collaboration with the Operations Manager
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and safety programs
• Evaluate system effectiveness and recommend appropriate changes
• Troubleshoot and correct system problems
• Train users across all levels on relevant systems
• Follow attendance policy and arrive on time and ready for your assigned shift
• Perform other duties as requested

• High school diploma or GED, or at least one year of related work experience

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency with basic PC software and Americold systems
• Strong communication skills with a variety of individuals
• Attention to detail and effective problem‑solving
• Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues and exhibit professional behavior
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfort with desktop computers

• Ability to sit for long periods with frequent interruptions
• Repeatedly sit and stand, reach, or bend
• Manual dexterity for typical office work
• Usable hearing, sight, and speech for task completion
• Occasional travel by automobile and airplane
• Visit facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing
• Lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds as needed
• Use of various electronic tools
• Work with business leaders to address performance and feedback
