Job Overview

Heartland Express is hiring truck drivers to operate across the 48 states. Drivers will be responsible for delivering dry‑van freight nationwide while maintaining safety and on‑time performance.

Salary: $60,000 – $95,000 per year (average $69,000). Weekly earnings average $1,336, with top earners at $1,819.

Detention pay $20 per hour, breakdown pay, and scheduled annual wage increases.

Bonuses: $0.05 per mile in the Green Zone (north of MD and east of I‑81) and $0.01 to $0.03 per mile safety bonus paid quarterly.

• Drive tractor‑trailers OTR across the U.S. and deliver freight as scheduled.
• Maintain a safe driving record and meet on‑time delivery metrics.

• Class A CDL with at least 6 months of tractor‑trailer driving experience.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Excellent work history and MVR.
• Safety‑first attitude with a proven driving record.
