CDL Highway Maintenance Technician

DCS (DeAngelo Contracting Services) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Technician to work under close supervision. Maintenance laborers assist in a variety of transportation maintenance services, including routine highway and roadway maintenance such as cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing, brush clearance, pavement repair, storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, litter removal, and emergency response.

• Work in adverse weather conditions.
• Lift moderately heavy objects, bend, climb, stand, or walk for long periods while maintaining eye‑hand coordination.
• Adapt to changing work plans and schedules due to workload or seasonal demands.
• Operate equipment used in highway maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and brooms.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, and backpack blowers.
• Maintain a high standard of work ethic and commitment at work.
• Apply any combination of training or experience needed to perform essential job functions in roadway maintenance activities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Class B CDL required.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with at least three years of clean driving history.
• Demonstrated training and/or experience to perform essential job functions in roadway maintenance activities.
