Vehicle Operator 1 (260004P2) – responsible for operating small motor vehicles to transport students, residents, consumers and staff between various locations. Duties include vehicle operation, maintenance, scheduling, and pickup/delivery of supplies. Works a rotating two‑week schedule.

Job Responsibilities- Operate small motor vehicles (car, station wagon, van, mini‑bus, panel truck) to transport students, residents, consumers and staff to and from the institution or agency for various activities.
- Operate vehicles for pick up and/or delivery of materials, supplies, mail or laundry; operate outside maintenance equipment such as tractor, snow truck or lawn mower to assist with snow removal or lawn maintenance duties.
- Schedule, inspect, service and maintain vehicles; prepare required logs and reports.
- Follow rotating two‑week schedule:
Week 1 – Mon 7:00‑3:30 a.m., Tue 5:00‑1:30 p.m., Wed 8:30‑5:00 p.m., Fri 7:30‑4:00 p.m., Sat 5:00‑1:30 p.m. (Sun/Thu Off);
Week 2 – Mon 7:00‑3:30 a.m., Tue 5:00‑1:30 p.m., Wed 8:30‑5:00 p.m., Thu 8:30‑5:00 p.m., Fri 7:30‑4:00 p.m. (Sun/Sat Off).
- Formal education in arithmetic and in reading, writing and speaking English; valid driver’s license.
- Valid commercial driver’s license required if motor equipment size is regulated by Ohio Revised Code.
- Equivalent of the minimum class qualifications noted on the posting.
- Job skills: equipment operations, automotive, CDL, transportation, vehicle operation, flexibility, situational awareness, attention to detail, customer focus.
