Maintenance Training Instructor
CAE, the worldwide leader in aviation training, is seeking Full-Time Maintenance Training Instructors across USA & Canada to support and grow our Business Aviation Maintenance Training team. This role involves up to 30% global travel. If you are a Mechanic, Avionics Technician, or Maintenance Instructor with experience working on Bombardier, Gulfstream, Dassault, Citation, or other Commercial or Business aircraft, this is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a new and impactful way.
The Maintenance Training Instructor works as part of a dedicated team delivering aircraft maintenance training on products manufactured by major OEMs. Responsibilities include developing, delivering, and maintaining multimedia and computer-assisted courseware using your aviation maintenance experience, instructional skills, and computer proficiency. This customer-facing position involves identifying and supporting customer needs, resolving a wide range of issues independently, and delivering aircraft systems training using various instructional aids such as multimedia presentations, aircraft components, and flight simulation tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during instruction or demonstrations.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry training equipment or aircraft components up to 25–30 lbs (11–14 kg).
- Ability to climb stairs and access training devices or aircraft areas as required.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods while developing or updating training materials.
- Ability to travel globally up to 30%, which may include long flights and extended periods in classrooms or customer sites.
- Must have sufficient mobility, vision, and dexterity to operate training devices, classroom equipment, and relevant tools safely.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience working on Bombardier, Gulfstream, Dassault, Citation, or other Commercial or Business aircraft.
- Working knowledge of mechanical or avionics aircraft systems relevant to the area of responsibility.
- Ability to resolve customer instructional issues autonomously.
- Proficiency with basic computer software, including Windows Suite, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word, to develop, revise, and deliver training materials and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current aviation authority license such as TC, EASA, A&P, or equivalent.
- Prior instructional experience (an asset, but not required).
